It shouldn’t be a shock to anyone following me or part of my community that I’m “dating.” While I might not share all the exciting details, I’m transparent in how I experience my faith. Well, the dating experience is the big one and is taking all my faith to move through.
There are challenges in life that will utilize all your resources, all your tools and then stretch you to go deeper in your experience of faith and connection.
Why is dating the catalyst for me while for others its money? Well, interactive relationships have always been a catalyst for growth for me.
It truly doesn’t matter what area you hold onto your pain like a death grip of a warrior…it’s what you decide is more important –holding onto the pain or experiencing what you truly desire.
It has taken me a long time to admit, explain or come to terms with what I truly want. I had an amazing conversation with someone who was sharing with me the five values of humans (on a side note, if he decides to turn this into a product –brilliant).
I’m only going to share with you two. Family and Spirituality. You can guess what my number one value is: Spirituality (for those that don’t like to bet ). His of course was family.
And this conversation triggered in me huge amounts of feelings of not being safe.
What do you do in that situation when you want to run screaming from the room and hide? My suggestion is that you connect with your team and activate the Divine safety in your body. Your Soul knows how to do this and if you let go and get on the ride, your body will fill with the feeling you “need” to feel safe.
You don’t look for the secret. You don’t try to analyze or emotionally relive all those other areas and experiences that say, “Look! Here is proof that you aren’t safe.”
And, in moving into safety in my body (and continuing to move there) what I realized in that moment…that it was bigger than just my connection with the Divine. I want to experience spiritualty in relationships as well. Now, some of you might be saying, DUH!
A lot of pieces started falling into place for me. Truth be told, I don’t really know the next “dating” step. And truth be told, that makes me a little jittery and yet, isn’t that the purpose of moving through this so I can experience a new connection of safety, a new way of being in the love of the Divine? Isn’t that why I continue my journey of raising my consciousness?
So, my challenge for you is to be brave in an area that you feel unsafe in and be willing to feel the truth that you are safe no matter what. This is a very big concept and where I begin to help people move through levels of consciousness.
As I was writing this, Rev. Frankie Timmers and the Center of Spiritual Mind in Morristown sent out their weekly Spiritual Mind Treatment (affirmative prayer). I thought I would share it with you, because it is so profound. It demonstrates how the Universe supports me (if I let it) and how truly I am safe and God is listening to me. And if God (or whatever you call your higher power) is listening to me, than he is listening to you.
My heart lights up, the moment I connect in Love.
Today I CHOOSE Love wherever I am, whatever is going on, whomever I am with.
I CHOOSE LOVE!!
In Love, I see Good everywhere and in everyone.
In Love, I know the Truth.
In Love, I know ALL is well.
In Love, I have deep faith.
In Love, the Divine Flow of Love provides me with what I need to live my life to the fullest.
So, I surrender to the Divine Love that is already IN me and I let it do Its work.
It knows what to do and how to do it, so in my state of surrender I let myself be used as a conduit for Love.
My life becomes what it is meant to be.
I welcome the effortlessness and the grace of this.
My eyes, ears, heart and mind are wide open, so I can consciously spread this Love.
It comes right back to me and I feel blessed.
AND SO IT IS!
