Expeditions in Faith: Is Being A Copycat Helping You Be In Faith

Are You Using the New Buzz Words: Partnership and Collaboration?

One time when I was in corporate America, my friend and partner in crime, Ken Hopper, wrote an entire memo in buzz words.  It was the funniest thing.  The memo said all the right things but “at the end of the day” was hollow of meaning.

Lately, I have been receiving a bunch of emails with the words partnership and collaboration in them.  So with my business being a collaborator (Soul Language Tone), I read the email.  I read it twice.  I read it a third time. And, all I see in the email are people wanting me to do something.  Don’t get me wrong. I’m a big giver.  I’m a Master of Service.  True service for me is joyful and honest.

Words like partnership and collaboration with no other reference of an equal equation feels like Servitude to me.   Does it feel like Servitude to you?

So I know that this conflict in my outer world is a conflict within (or a chance for me to go deeper in self-love and connection with the Divine).  Why do these emails trigger disconnection for me?  Oh, wait, yes, I know. They are based on the foundation that there is “not enough.”

Also, you know what else really pisses me off…they sound like every other email.  What would happen if you stopped trying to do it like someone says to do it and just practiced your Sacred work?  Well, I don’t know, but I have some ideas.  If you don’t feel like practicing your Sacred work is going to get you what you want, then you might want to view some people’s sacred works (not to copy, just to know that you, the Divine, supports you): Jack Canfield, Oprah (yes, for those of you that know my relationship with Oprah, I’m bringing it out), Marianne Williamson, Dr. Seuss, and Mel Blanc.

I believe that all this copy-catting and conditional marketing is a chance and an opportunity to move deeper in faith.  How can you be you and succeed? I don’t know, but I do know that your Soul knows and below are a couple Soul Conversation starters:

Create a conscious connection with your Soul Language team and ask:

  • “What does my Soul long to share?” (ask this one, three or four times, until you get to the root, that answer that brings tears to your eyes)
  • “What invitation, without fear, can I offer to people to experience my Sacred work?”
  • “What do I get to activate that is already inside of me to accept that I’m worthy of doing and being my Sacred work and live the life that I desire?”

Action Steps: I would love to hear your answers and you can share them in the community or on the Facbook page Expeditions in Faith.

Do you feel you need more tools, I invite you to The Year of Consciousness.
