The Rainbow Effect

My Soul Languages are action-oriented.  This means that by nature I’m sort of programmed Soulfully to be about movement.  Occasionally, I can go into hyper-drive.

I can get a lot done in an hour, but if I don’t make sure to be mindful the whole time I end up missing the little miracles that are happening all around me.  It’s easy to take all of those little miracles for granted.  What counts as a little miracle?  Maybe driving up to the post office and finding a parking space (a real miracle where I live), then going to put money in the meter only to see that it has plenty of time left.

Last week, I went through my morning errands mindfully.  When I saw a little miracle, I took a moment to be thankful and fully receive it.  Try that, and you will be amazed how good you feel and how open you are to receiving.

These little miracles also show you how you are being supported.  The more supported you feel, the more miracles; the more miracles, the more supported, so on and so forth.

So what happens on those days when you are struggling too hard to see the miracles?  On those days you need miracles in reserve–the memory of a miracle.  I call this the Rainbow Effect.

A couple weeks ago I was on the phone with a client.  My metaphysical team (some people call these their angels) told me to bring the coffee cup into the kitchen.  As I was putting the cup in the sink, I looked out the kitchen window saw a perfect rainbow, the kind of rainbow you only see in movies.  This rainbow was a full beautiful arch and went from one side of town to the other.

I explained to my client what I was looking at and then she told me about the significance of rainbows in her life, how special they make her feel.  She also went on to tell me how she had let that “special feeling” fall away after a trauma in her life.  We talked about what would happen if she felt that rainbow inside of her every day, a feeling of beauty, power, and love of Soul.

Think about all the things that had to happen for this rainbow to be created at just the right time.  When I feel like I need a reminder about how I’m being supported, I remember that rainbow and my feeling of wonder, love and Soul.
