3 Ways to Stop Giving

Why are you giving? Truly ask yourself this question.  Are you giving to get? Are you giving to make yourself “feel better?” Are you giving because it is your Divine nature? There isn’t a right or wrong answer here. There is an answer that will create a more conscious, sustainable and powerful life.

1. With Your Own Agenda

What feelings place are you giving from? Are you giving like an Italian grandmother…come on, eat, eat, eat! If you are giving from the place of: pride of knowing what’s best for someone, proving your value or I give so I can get, I would suggest that you might realign your feelings place on giving.  Next time you are giving something to someone, just notice what feelings are present or what is going through your head.  If it is any of the above, pause and (create a conscious connection with your Soul Language Team) connect.  Then ask Divine Intelligence to activate the true spirit of love and giving in your heart.  You will notice that you give without worry or concern.

2. Without Listening

Each individual on this planet is different (and yet we are all one). Each moment is your opportunity to be in an exchange of giving and receiving.  Are you listening, truly listening to what your friends, family and communities are asking for?  Sometimes when you are truly listening, in present time and listening to your Soul, you can understand what a person requires.  I recommend that you always ask (trust me, ask every time!).  And, if you feel like you have no idea what the exceptions in a relationship are, ask!

3. To The Over Needy

Often I hear from clients, I keep giving things away and I don’t seem to receive what I want or desire — why? I cannot, nor do I want to, take responsibility for what other people do in their lives.  Nor can I or YOU pull them along.  If you keep giving and giving to these individuals, it isn’t supporting you and it isn’t supporting them.  We have the power to change our lives.  We also require the help of one another to see, guide and point us in a direction we know is there but are afraid to see, the rest is up to us.

In those situations, whether it be a friend, family member or client, I suggest you connect with your Soul (via your Soul Language Team) and ask this simple question: “What action step can I offer to this person?”
